Pippa Holt Kaftans

Pippa Holt Kaftan

These breezy kaftans are not cheap, but I’m not entirely opposed in theory to the idea of an investment kaftan. After all, they’ve been around for thousands of years, and popular in fashion since the 60s, so they’re not going out of style. Anything that melds the Oaxacan with the Moroccan has got my heart. Conceived by a former British Vogue editor, these iterations were likely made for people escaping inclement weather (or just people who live in LA). Hand-made by Mexican weavers, they’re elegant with the right mix of detail and ease, and call to my mind all the sorts of dream locales you could wear them: Oaxaca, Baja, Hawaii, Joshua Tree, Tulum, Palm Springs, Santorini (I’m thinking of the blue and white one). They'd make for a good signature vacation look.
